Jake's Morning Power Smoothie

This smoothie is brilliant first thing and also can be made to be eaten/drank later, packed full of complex carbs, fibre, protien, some good simple sugars and healthy vits'n'mins!

  • 1 Fairtrade Mango
  • 1 Fairtrade Banana
  • 40g Cooked Oats
  • 1 Scoop Unflavored Protien Powder

Chop fruit and throw into smoothie maker (you can place them if your aim is a little shabby!) followed by your cooked oats and then the protien powder!

This will keep you full up for a good 3 hours when your next meal is due! A winner every time!

Minted Melon

Got some upper class dinner guests? this'll go down a treat!!!

  • Half a honeydew or gala melon
  • Half a small watermelon, without seeds (can be bought seedless, or you can spend hours getting rid of the seeds- not as boring as it sounds, you can play games with them at the same time! (Just smile and nod!)
  • 250ml guava juice
  • Juice of half a Fairtrade lemon
  • 2 tablespoons of Fairtrade honey
  • 10ml mint extract (fresh mint or mint extract can be used, fairtrade mint avaliable in some health-food stores)

Grapezilla

Need a pick up, this will have you buzzing all day long!

  • 2 Handfuls of Fairtrade green grapes
  • 2 Handfuls of Fairtrade red grapes
  • 250ml Grape juice
  • Juice of half a small Fairtrade lemon
  • 3 Scoops of frozen yoghurt

Add all ingrediants to your smoothiemaker and you've got one ready to drink sugar rush!!!

Totally Fair: Tropic Beach

Are you on a nice tropical beach somewhere? Well if not, here's the next best thing!

  • 1 Fairtrade Banana
  • 1 Fairtrade Coconut
  • 1 Fairtrade Vanila Pod
  • Half a pot of Fairtrade Greek Style Yoghurt (availiable in Co-Op stores)
  • 2 Handfuls of ice
  • Peel the banana, carve the flesh of the coconut out (keep the milk). Slit vanilla pod lengthways and scrape out the seeds. Put all ingredients into smoothie maker (including flesh and milk of coconut), put ice in last- and guess what, your on a lovely torpical beach- nice!

Totally Fair: Port Ahoy

One for the adults, don't have too many or you won't be able to see the port clearly, arrrgh!

  • A whole jar of Co-Op's Cranberry Sauce with port
  • 4 peeled, cored, stewed and then frozen Fairtrade Pears

Add all ingredients to smoothie maker, hit go and your halfway to being a Fair-Pirate (if such a thing can exist). If you are of legal age and want to become a fully fledged pirate you can add a shot of Fairtrade white rum!!!

Totally Fair: Ginger Rhupple Dip

A 'smoothie' with a nice kick, and its all fair!

  • 1 Jar of M&S Fairtrade Rhubarb and Ginger Conserve
  • 250ml Fairtrade Apple Juice
    • You can add ice to make this into a true smoothie, but I like to use it as a dip for Fairtrade Organic Brazil Nut Cookies, give it a go, you may discover your taste buds leaping for joy!!!

Totally Fair: Feeling Hedgey?

If your feeling a little uneasy, this good ol' english hedgerow smoothie will calm you nicely!

  • A whole jar of M&S Fairtrade Hedgerow Conserve
  • 500ml of Fairtrade Apple Juice
  • 2 handfuls of ice
  • All ingredients in head first (unless they are scared, go easy) Ice last! Hit smooth and sit back with a lovely calming and de-hedging smoothie!

Totally Fair: Banana and Vanilla Yogshake

An ace smoothie which is a fairtrade equivalent to your average milkshake!

  • 1 Fairtrade Vanilla Pod
  • 3 Fairtrade Bananas
  • 2 or 3 handfuls of ice
  • 2 pots of Fairtrade greek style yoghurt, from co-op
  • 4 teaspoons of fairtrade sugar dissolved in a small amount of water

Totally Fair: Apple and Blackcurrant

This is a very traditional flavoured smoothie, but with the ace twist that all the ingrediants used are giving people a fair price for their fruit!

  • 200ml Fruit passion apple juice from Co-Op
  • Half a jar of blackcurrant conserve from M&S
  • 6 Fairtrade Grapes
  • Handful of ice cubes
    • Dead simple, all ingredients into the smoothiemaker, hit start and you've got yourself a totally fair Apple and Blackcurrant smoothie. Good thought old chap!

Totally Fair: The Zinger

Love a little zing in your life? Check this out!!!

  • 1/2 Fairtrade Pineapple
  • 1 Fairtrade Lemon
  • 2 Fairtrade Clementines
  • Handful of Fairtrade grapes
  • 150ml Fair Trade tropical juice
  • Handful of ice cubes

Peel lemon, clementines and remove the outer nasty bits of pineapple, chop big fruits into peices and add all content to the smoothie maker (ice last)

This recipe is totally fairtrade (apart from the ice), Wohoooo!!!
